The story behind Bumbleworx 3D
Born in Palmerston North, New Zealand, Bumbleworx 3D started with two mates, a passion for motorsport, and a drive to craft accessible, high-quality gear for passionate hobbyists.
Two mates and a second-hand printer
Bumbleworx was born from a desire to create custom, affordable speedway merchandise for one of our founders. With one of us brimming with creative ideas and the other knowing where to go to learn how to build and fabricate, we took the plunge on a second-hand 3D printer. What kicked off as an experiment on the kitchen table quickly gained traction and has grown to dedicated space with 3 printers churning out goods.
Growing from hobby to production line
Over the last three years, we have turned a weekend hobby into a self-funding, ever-expanding production setup. While speedway gear remains at our core, we couldn't resist solving problems across our other hobbies. Today, we design and produce everything from custom car-inspired items to specialised slot car accessories, delivering smart alternatives to big established brands.
Expanding into percussion and beyond
Our love for tinkering led to the launch of our Bumbleworx Percussion line, offering precision 3D-printed drumming accessories and hardware solutions. Every piece we make is guided by our core philosophy: genuine accessibility for all ages and stages. When you print with Bumbleworx, you truly get more bang for your buck.
